Come, help me choose a pack and play!
Righty ho is the new Holy Crap!
So anyway, Noah, who is a GENIUS can sit up on his on at only 5 months! Harvard on the line...can we have a place for 2020??? Anyway, rather than let him sit on my hardwood floors and fall over and crack his head open, I think I might get a pack and play...also to take away with us on holiday (if we go anywhere besides LI ever...)
So, do I go for a really basic cheap one, seeing as the kid is already 5 months old and outgrown the bassinet bit...or get one with all the bells and whistles??
Whaddayathink???

I'd go for the one without all the other crap, unless of course, you plan on having another baby, in which case, you can use it then. I have the one with every conceivable option, and to be honest, it's a little annoying. I'm glad I have the bassinet part, but the changing station and all that stuff, I really don't need.

Re: Come, help me choose a pack and play!
We have a two story house and have a packnplay on the main floor. DD also grew out of the bassinet part but she does sometimes nap in the bottom and we still use the changing table part daily. It has a mobile of bears that she likes. It also plays music but it plays it so softly that you can only hear it if there is absolutely no noise going on in the house. I'd say if you think it'll get alot of use in your house that this kind is good but if you are thinking of using it more for travel go for a smaller one.

I found the changing table useful because at the time we had a steep staircase. The sunshade is convenient if it ever gets sunny over there. Otherwise, you don't need the rest of it.

We just went away and Katie slept in the bassinet part- she is 6 months.
We used the changing table part a few times, but I say if you have lived without it this long just get the basic one.
