fingers

heeeeeeelp isabella will not stop sticking her fingers down her throat!! i dont know what to do! she makes herself gag and sometimes throw up. i am getting worried that she has something wrong with her throat. she mostly does it after she eats (food not bottles) i went so far as to put mittens on her hands the other day. it is so upsetting. i never had a baby do this. yesterday she made herself vomit in her high chair. i just dont get it....
i asked the doc last time we were there and he said maybe it was because she was teething, but i dont think so. i am seeing a pattern of when she does it. and mostly it is after food... it doesnt matter what kind, stage 2 stage 3 or table food. it makes me want to cry

Noah does this all the time, he ***** on his fingers and gags on them!

I hope she realises its not fun to upchuck soon!!!

DD does the same thing and the ped said it is totally normal and ok and eventually she will learn not to put them down so far.

DD did this too. I don't really know when/how she started but it did end in vomit sometimes. She then did it for the reaction she got from us.

I was thinking that since you noticed a pattern after eating maybe she is uncomfortable. Is she eating too much? Maybe give her something to drink after eating to wash down the food. It could be that she feels the food is sitting in her throat.

My friends baby used to do this after each spoonful of food in went her fingers kinda pushingthe food in. She outgrew it so I would not worry.
