Lucille Roberts Bayshore?
Does anyone belong to this location? I'm joining a gym this week & used to belong to the Massapequa one; but wanted to know what additional ammenities BS may have or better equipment, etc? Are they crowded? Is there a pool?
Thx.
Also do they still have their gold membership where you can join one but go to all? Is that included in the 2 yr membership?
Lastly, how much is childcare?
Just trying to decide which one I should join.

I've been there. I have the gold card, plus the dance classes, with the 2 year membership. I pre-paid it so it came out to $260.
It's a very odd layout, there is no pool, and LR is only on the top floor.
The equipment is new, and it has wood floors not carpet.
The parking lot is very small so during classes it's very hard to find a spot.
I'm not sure about the childcare,
What other location are you considering?

Kerrie, thank you. I was considering Massapequa, which is closer to my house--but the Bayshore one looked huge & I figured was all new equipment, etc.
That's strange...no carpets.

I prefer no carpet. It's cleaner if you have allergies.
I belong to the one in Plainview so I can't help you.

I've never been to the Bay Shore one but have a Gold Membership as well. I mostly go to Massapequa but have been to Plainview and Commack as well. Carpeting is horrible for the classes especially Zumba. I would love to see all wood. The child care price and ages are different at different locations. Massapequa takes infants while the others do not. I also pay $1.00 per kid in Massapequa and it's $2.00 per kid in Commack. Your best bet would be to call Bay Shore for their specific rules. I still say out of all the gyms I've belonged to LR still has THE BEST classes. I paid in full for 2 yrs and got a third free. I think it was around $349.00 back in 2008.
