Does anyone else feel like they neglect themselves?

Before have DS I would get mani's & pedi's once and while but I always left the house looking nice, hair done and some makeup. But since I am a mom now I feel like I forget to take care of myself. I dont feel as attractive because I have a few pounds to loose but cant keep the cookies out of mouth. I dont really enjoy shopping and feel guilty when I buy something for myself. Did anyone else go through this?

5 years & I still hardly by myself anything!!

As for the mani-Pedi try to either go when your hubby comes home or on early on Sat or Sun when he's home. I try to at least get 1 or 2 a year.

I blame stains on my clothes on the baby!!!

Yes!!!! I haven't had a pedi since she was born! I do get my nails done (not at a salon so I can't have a pedi done at the same time...) I just put my hair up in clips every day and no makeup (not that I ever wore much makeup anyway)

is there a nail place near you that is open late? There is one near me - its open until 9 - so I have made it a habit now that summer is here to go every other week on a friday night. I put the baby to sleep - kiss my DH goodbye - and get a mani/pedi - and sometimes a massage.

You really need to make time for yourself without any guilt - it's sooo important. You can't take care of others unless you are happy and taken care of as well.

I do!!! I wear the same clothes (that I don't look horrible in) over and over, and I need NEW bras and undies so badly.

Makeup...never big on it, just for special occasions or if we're going out in public (church, to dinner, to a friends' house)

Weight....let's not bring that up! I'm on the pill and I have 7 lbs to go to pre-pg weight and I feel like a blob.

mani-pedi.....once a month. The pedi really should be twice a month...but my perm. french I can get away with for a whole month!!! Plus it's like $50 when I go....so I try to save $$. I need my hair touched up too for this wedding we're going to in July.

Once in a blue moon I'll throw on a skirt to feel nice but DH is fine with the way things are...it's me that is so vain.

I NEVER buy anything for myself anymore - its always about the kids, havent gotten a pedi since I just before I had my daughter (July 2004!) and Im queen of the ponytail so yes, I feel like I neglect myself. I plan on making some changes as we settle in with Baby #3. Its gone on too long. I cant even get to the podiatrist and have needed a haircut since March. But I have to make it important and not spend the precious and limited free time running errands. Hopefully I can find a way to get some Me time that I really allow myself to relax even for an hour away.

Oh God I was thinking about this - I swear sometimes I'm THIS close to just leaving the house in my pajamas, I just dont care or have the time anymore.

I do but that's what I feel like my 40's are for. I'm sure to clean up my act by then.

I definitely buy less for myself and get mani's and pedi's less often. Hardly ever wear make up and don't get facials anymore.
Other than my weight though I still feel good about myself. I just feel like I am in a different phase of my life now and I'm not #1.
When I need to I put on make up and dress up and definitely feel a bit better about myself than on the days I am in jeans and no make up.

My post earlier was kinda like this, I feel like I let myself go so much since I had my DD. All I worry and think about is her, and I feel so unattractive. I think I get a pedicure like once a month where I use to go like every week. I have like 15lbs to loose and thats just making me feel so blaaa lately. Oh and I also need some color, need a few days at the beach!!!
