Help me decorate my kitchen
We have a small kitchen with an eat in area. I just finished painting this morning and we have 2 walls that need a little something to spruce it up.
Old owners kitchen. Walls are now a darker suede/traupe color. Cabinets are still cream colored. I need something for that wall on the right
Old owner's kitehcn again. With your back to the sink, this is what you see in the eat in area. there is a large wall on the right just on the other side of the fridge. I need something there too

Add red accents. Canisters, maybe a tea pot. If you want you can change the hardware to something funky or fun...
Or you can do a tuscan theme. Hang small pictures on the overhang above cabinets.

I would get a colorful accent rubber rug for the floor. I would add either blue, red or green accent art work on the wall and some open floating shelves. You can lean the art work on the shelves and add some cute dishes and a colorful colander too.
ETA: Near the oven on the solid wall I would get a picture of a window scene. It will make you think you are looking at a nice day.
On the solid wall in the other photo I would get some art work for there too.
On top of the cabinets I would get some colorful accessories. Do you have any vases or pitchers? You could put them up there.
In the EIK part I would get a table and chairs that have colorful seats.

Thank you! Unfortunately, on top of the cabinets is a soffit (sp?). So, we can't put anything up there. I'm thinking of cutting the wall open on the right across from the fridge and making it a breakfast nook with 2 stools. It would also open the kitchen up and bring the light from the back window into the living room since we don't get a lot of natural light.
