Ganderelic Big dose
Has anyone done the big dose after stiming to hold off O. Just wondering if there are any negative effects on the eggs or the amount etc...anything you can tell me would be wonderful..TIA

im assuming you mean ganirelix?
i have done 25ius for several days to both hold off ovulation and to suppress my LH since mine is chronically really high due to PCOS. . i had no side effects at all. i dont think 25iu is a big dose but i do know its one of the easiest of the injectables(for me at least) as far as side effects and actual inject.
its commonly used in IVF so it def does not have any ill effects on egg quality. it just lowers your LH so you cant surge on your own.

When I was doing IVF I used ganerelix pre-filled syringes.
I took one syringe a day but I dont remember how much was in them.
No side effects, except it stings a bit going in so I would inject it slowly.

I was on the Ganirelex pre-filled syringes too and towards the end they actually had me take it twice in a day then again in the morning before I triggered that night. I don't have much experience as this is only my first IVF cycle but I can say that I had 15 eggs retrieved, 14 were mature and 11 fertilized and 4 days later all 1 seem to be going strong still! Wish you lots of luck!!

Thanks they are usuing it with iui since i will most likely o over a holiday weekend-I may not though you never know
