how much longer to close?
we got our appraisal, we got our mortgage commitment, we havent heard anything about the title. we signed our contract july 22. how much longer?????

could be anything....depends on your bank and what documents they will ask you for. Is it an FHA or conventional. Conventional could be quicker......FHA usually take at the least 60 days.

We are in exactly the same spot as you. Signed July 21st and have all the same stuff done. Title due in any day now, once that's in we were told we can schedule our closing.. hopefully we'll close in the next 1-2 weeks.
Did you get your homeowners insurance going yet, you'll need that too.

yep we got the homeowners insurance lined up for when we actually get a closing date. we already gave the bank the things they asked for and got our commitment pretty quickly. i just want to know already! do you think its just the title that we are waiting for??

Have you been in touch with your lawyer or mortgage people? They've been giving me status, which is how I know that we are ONLY waiting for title to come in.. everything else is ready to go. It's been holding us up a few days already.. annoying.

Call your bank, they should let you know whats going on but for us it took 60 days from contract to closing...
