I use this stuff, and I find it in the cleaning supply aisle of my local supermarket...or walmart sells it.

I would make sure that you don't have food remnants stuck in the drain pipe. Also, I would run the dishwasher empty for a wash.

i run it empty with a regular cascade tab like i would if stuff were inside -- and i sprinkle baking soda in it as well.
