So bummed.
I was doing so good with running and getting ready for the marathon in Oct. and yesterday DH & I were goofing off and he stepped back and somehow his foot accidently ripped off half of my big toe nail Now it hurts just to walk, I'm in a big bandaid to keep it from bleeding bc it starts everytime I change it and I feel like Im going to lose all that hardwork I was putting in. My cousin who is a nurse said I probably wont be able to run for at least a week if not two.

Re: So bummed.
ouch! It shouldn't affect your training. I cannot run for 2 weeks (starting today) and will still run my 10-9 marathon. I did plan for it and ran 20 miles this weekend and will fit in another 20 miler, but I wasn't planning on getting this week's 20 miler in.
can you do any cross training? That will help keep some of your training.
it's just a hurdle, not a road block!
