uhaul moving truck
has anyone used them? im looking for a saturday and all the ones i checked are 100+ uhaul wants 39.95 what am i missing? the price per miles is about .30-1.00 more than others is that why?

We just moved. We were going to use them, but they only give you 10 hours, then you have to pay for another day. Plus the mileage, it was adding up. We went with Penske. They were 105 for the 26 foot truck with a lift (this was important). And they were .89 per mile. We also got a 12% AAA discount when we went to pick it up. We rented it on Saturday morning, and because they are closed on Sundays, we didn't have to have it back til 6:30am on Monday the latest. There was no way we would have had the truck loaded and unloaded and all the way back at the place in 10 hours, so Penske was better for us.

I rented Uhaul recently, basically they were around the corner, so I did it for convienence. The daily price was cheap but as soon as you added on the per mile fee, having to have it back by a certain time, rental fee for the handtruck, they weren't any bargain.
