well done DH, medium rare DW!
Dh & I always have an issue when I make beef (also lamb etc). I made a beautiful piece of prime rib this past week & was forced to cut it in half so his could be well done & mine medium rare. This really kills an elegant presentation to say the least.
I guess I just have to deal & blame MIL because she raised her kids on overcooked food.
Am I the only person with this problem?

Re: well done DH, medium rare DW!
Yeah.. Rob prefers his medium and I like my beef rare/medium rare.
I usually make steak - which allows me to cook them to different levels. When I make a roast, he gets the ends.
He used to like his meat well done.. so he's getting better. He actually now prefers some cuts medium rare (like prime rib). I don't think he'll ever be a 'rare' guy - but I think with a few more years of training he'll eat everything at least medium rare!

Same here, I like MR and DH likes WD. For lamb or roast, I cook the whole thing MR and then whatever piece DH uses I will pan fry them for a few seconds to make it well done.
