i just wanna be a homeowner already!!!
we are in fully executed contract as of July 29th...around how long will it be until i'm in the house?!?!?!?!
it's killing me!!!!!!!!

Depends on how quickly you get everything together for your mortgage & get a commitment from your lender.
I feel your pain, we are between contract & closing now too

i'm about to fall off the earth! i just wanna buy stuff and get things ready but it's not 100%!!! so DH keeps saying wait wait wait! i've waited 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in the SAME exact boat as you. Every time I think this is it the morgage guy says... BTW, you need a survey done, now this done, now your right arm  (ok, maybe not that part, but feels like it)

I know it feels like forever but it hasn't even been a month yet. It'll come! As long as everything goes smoothly it'll come soon too. Try to stay calm...and breathe!

It is one of the most strenuous processes ever. We went into contract in 2008, we signed the contract mid-March and didn't close until the end of June.

really depends, when we bought our house we were in contract for over two months before we closed... it was all because of the seller stalling though.. i def feel your frustration.. good luck w/ the process!

I feel your pain. The bank is going to scrutinize your whole being up until the day of closing. Be prepared to give papers upon papers. I felt like I was under a pressure cooker until we had the keys in our hands. I hope it goes quick for you!

no commitment but appraisal was done last week.

hang in there. it feels like the longest wait EVER but as soon as you get in the house, your like, oh that wasn't so bad
And you really should listen to your DH. don't buy stuff until your in
I wanted to and planned to buy all this furniture and stuff, and as soon as we got in we realized we needed things that were more important- new dishwasher, washer, dryer, fence, yard cleaned up, etc. so we waited a little time before buying all our wants and have been getting them slowly. you really never know what is going to break or give you problems, or things that looked good, but once your in the house, you realize you need to replace it. I would have been so mad if I spent all our excess $ on "fun" stuff and then didn't have anything left for real needs
