Hysteroscopy tomorrow....

Any of you ladies had this done? How much does it hurt? Do I need to take tylenol or something before the procedure?

As I have read from the boards, it seems to have different effects to different women,...ive also noticed that it is more uncomfortable for women who actually have blocked tubes. For me, it pinched for a few seconds., then it was slightly uncomfortable, think full bladder feeling, then it was over and I had VERY mild cramps for a about a half hour. Nothing major, I drove myself home and was fine....Def take some tylenol before hand. You will do great. Like most things IF related...the anticipation of things are worse than the reality. I was knocked out when I had it done so it didn't hurt at all. I got sick from the anesthesia but that really didn't have anything to do with the procedure. The next cycle, I did IVF for the 1st time and it worked.

are you doing it in the office or in a hospital?

mine was done by dr. b in his office. it was totally painless. literally i cramped for 1 second when they filled the saline, and that was it. it was over in 5 minutes. not a big deal at all. i am so glad dr. b has the tiny camera, it seems like such a waste to have to be knocked out for it. it was barely more than a sono for me. and considering some of my sonos lately it was actually quicker than that!!
