my marathon closed!

I was dragging my feet and I went to register and it's CLOSED! It has never closed before!

the worst part is that I'm hung up on the date.

1. it's 10-10-10 and I think that's just so cool!

2. I'm in the middle of my training plan for that date (I could pick a later date, but I honestly just want to get it over with!)

I'm so bummed!

I was thinking about signing up for a half the same day, but it is closed also. Was it the HMRRC USMC Reserve by any chance? I think I remember you posting about that before. I always wait until the last minute to sign up for races...this should teach me a lesson.

That stinks but you can try for the Atlantic City marathon, I hear it is great (10-17-10) or run Philly with me :) (11-21-10

Christine - they do have a wait list, but I think that it is pretty long, since they closed 3 weeks ago! and the site (nicely) asked for people to stop writing and asking for exceptions

Christina - I am thinking of USMC, but it's closed too. I was going to do it in 2011 with a coworker who wants to do it for her 60th bday!

Tracy - I would really think about Philly - I hear it's GREAT! but I just don't think I want to prolong this training - adding another month might mentally destroy me! LOL Although I could then do the Diva Half as a trainign run. Soemthing to think about.

Some people from a running MB I am on are doing Hartford on 10-9, so I think that's the front runner. It's not 10-10-10, but I guess it's close enough.

Even the tiny Albany Marathon that I've done is closed!! I guess I won't see Steamtown until 2012.
