Back from Disney...
Let's just say that we deserve to do it all over again.
My DH's boss ruined our whole vacation!  We've been planning our vacation for months. We were soooo excited to go. Well, my DH's boss calls him on our way to the airport on Thursday and asks him where he is?  He tells him you approved me to have off today and tomorrow for vacation. He tells him if he doesn't have his f'in a$$ in at 8:30 he's fired!  My DH gets off the phone and tells me he can't go!!! I was like, what??? He just talked to his boss AGAIN two days previously about the trip as well, and then he does this??? I was hysterical. I couldn't believe what he was telling me. So here we are all of our stuff is in the car, Caiden is all excited about going on an airplane and only 5 minutes from the airport, and he tells me he can't go!!! Well, things got worse, and I ended up having to take Caiden on the plane by myself. It was a horrible way to start "vacation"!!! Well, my DH was soooooooo angry he wouldn't even talk to me. Thursday evening I was able to convince him to come Friday night that I'll change his flight. He doesn't know that it cost a lot of money to change his tickets, I just wanted him to be there, and I know he wanted to be there, so that didn't matter. Well, he did fly in Friday night. It was a very stressful vacation. Nothing worked out like it was suppose to. My DH was in a mood most of the weekend. Then to top off the vacation, my DH was suppose to fly out on Sunday night, being I had to change it to accomodate his boss, and I was flying out Monday morning. Well, we had transportation issues, and he ended up missing his flight and not being able to go out until the next morning. Soooo that just made EVERYTHING worse for me and with his boss. So, our last vacation before the baby SU@KED royally, what was suppose to be a fun family vacation together made a turn for the worse. I am still soooo upset about everything. We were suppose to have fun and spend quality time together. I still can't believe it turned out the way it did! I wish we could do it all over again!!! I can say Caiden had a lot of fun, but he was suppose to have soooo much more fun! There was sooo much that got messed up that we didn't get to do with him. It's just not fair!!! How can he do this to us!!! Thanks for letting me vent!

That's awful, I know how excited you were for the trip. Hopefuly, DH's boss will see that he was willing to change his whole vacation plans and everything and give him a big bonus or promotion.

I hope DH's boss had a really really good reason for pulling something like that. If not I would seriously be looking for a new job.
Im sure your son had tons of quality time and didnt miss what ever else you had planned. Unfortunate for you and DH but Im sure your son loved it.

How long has your husband been at this job for? What was his boss's reasons to treat him and talk to him the way he did?
What a F ' G B a S t A r D !!!!! Didnt your husband say anything to him??? Like.........you approved my vacation and then you call me on my way to the airport???. I dont care if hes the boss or not, your husband has a right to say something to him. He was wrong!!!! 150%.
This stuff just makes me sooo Angry!!

Did his boss give a reason for this? THe guy owes both of you a paid vacation.
Sounds like DH wasn't angry with you but his boss. I'm so sorry you had a horrible time - I hope at least Caiden got to enjoy Disney.

OMG what a horrible boss.... I hate when people abuse their authority. I don't know how big your DH's company is, but I definitely think it's worth him talking to his manager and then documenting the conversation with HR.

Thanks ladies!
I'm trying to get over it (I have no other choice) but I just can't. I wish we could do it all over again right now.
It was just the last vacation before the baby arrives that was just for Caiden! I know the adult part of the vacation was VERY stressfull and upsetting most of the time, but I know Caiden had fun and that's what matters! 
I just hope that we can handle going to Disney with a baby and Caiden because the baby will be here!
