I'm looking for BBmaking...

First of all, sorry about my english, I´m from Spain and my english is not very goog.

I´ve been looking for someone in my situation and I founded you.

I write here because I´m devastated and in my country I haven´t found a similar case.

I have made my first IVF treatment. 150 gonal+75menopur, 13 eggs, fertilized 8 (4 natural, 4 ICSI). Call me and say it has been a success. Just two hours before the transfer I got a call that all they have stopped growing at day 2.


I have low FSH (5.5) but I´m 38 and me and my husband had a natural pregnat two years ago (we lost de pregnat at 20 week because an infection). They say me that the eggs looked very well, the semen too and they say it may be bad luck but I don´t believe...

My clinic is the best in my country. I don´t know what to think... they say is neccesary to make another attempt with another medication but we´d like to make some test before.

Could you help us???

Did you make another attempt with better results?

Anyone else with the same case?

Has anyone ever have this happen to them but still were successful with consecutive IVF cycles?

i dont have the experience but i want to wish you lots of luck.

i know many ladies on the board have gone thru ivf and have had some disappointments. but have gone on to have successful pregnancies.

I'm sorry that you are going through some hardship with your situation.
Your FSH sounds very good at 5.5. If I were to compare our situation, it seems that your FSH is a lot better than mine (worst at 14.7) but my maternal age is better than yours (I'm currently 28). For me, the doctor had no other reason but to blame my egg quality for the reason why my embryos arrested right before my transfer. For you, it does seems very weird to me that ALL of your embryos arrested considering you have normal FSH and your maternal age isn't that high.
Sometimes I feel like going through IVF and trying to understand why things happen is like trying to read a crystal ball. There seems to be no one definite/correct answer to all of our questions.
I went through another round of IVF 2 months after my first failed IVF that resulted in 5 embryo arrest and I was not able to move into retrieval because my dr. did not do retrieval for anything less than 4. Fortunately, I moved on to a more High FSH friendly dr and I'm prepping my body for IVF #3.
From reading your comments, you seem to be responding well to meds and producing very good amounts of follicles. I would definitely say you should try another round if money is not an issue. I truely feel that embryo arrest call also be related to Embryology lab. OR, it could just be a bad cycle.
