Crate and Barrel Couches and Chairs--anyone have one?
How is the quality? Looking at the Hennesey couch and chair in a custom fabric. I just don't know how the quality is, and if it is worth the money.
Any thoughts?

We bought a couch, sofa and chair from Crate and Barrel many years ago (2002) and they have held up very well. They no longer sell the ones we have, but the "expense"of them was worth it.

Thanks! So the fabric still looks good, and the cushions still hold up? Most reviews of the Hennessey couch are positive online, but a few say that the cushions broke down after a short while and no longer bounce back.

We have the Radio Days set in a dark brown (no longer sell that set). Even with 2 kids, there's not a stain to be found. Fabric is thick and there are no tears or holes. The cushions have held up well, but after 8 years, a little flattening is to be expected. Nothing so drastic that we need to do anything yet.

We have the Axis sectional. We bought it about 1.5 yrs ago. It was $$$ but, has really held up well. Their customer service and delivery were terrific as well.
ETA: We have the 4 piece one if it matters.

We have the Petrie sofa in a cocoa color...bought it 4 years ago. I love the look of the sofa and the bones of it has held up well.
The fabric, otoh, is horrible and I would never again purchase something in that fabric. It never looks clean and I can only clean it with a steam cleaner - anything else will further stain it.

When we were in the store yesterday, DH plopped down on this couch with a horrible fabric. It was sort of fuzzy and showed fingerprints and just looked dirty even though it was clean. I was like "Oh hellll no!" Fabric is so important to me. The one I'm interested is is sort of a tweed woven fabric.
