Does everyone "drop"?
Does everyone "drop" before going into labor? I am 39 weeks, 2 days, and I don't think I have dropped yet. I'm just wondering if that would be the first sign of getting close to delivery... I mean, I know the baby has to drop in order to come out, but does everyone drop before they are in labor?

Re: Does everyone "drop"?
Some people said I dropped but I never noticed a difference. I think I was just getting bigger So, I dont think I dropped at all.

I never did with Damien, but I ended up with a c-section because he never came down.

Re: Does everyone "drop"?
Not always. If it's your second baby, you will usually carry higher & not drop (at least until you're in labor).

I never dropped. But he was in a weird position which we found out after they opened me up for the c/s.

I never did. People who haven't seen me along the way, comment on how I've dropped, but I never did.
Baby started low and stayed low.

Re: Does everyone "drop"?
I didn't notice the "drop" only knew I did drop was because i could actually breathe going up the stairs. But since I didn't see it, i guess the baby just moved down into position and out of my ribs.
I carried High my whole pg. I went into labor at 39w3d's and I was only a finger tip dilated and 50% effaced.
