was waxed yesterday--have some stubble....

So, I had my underarm and bikini area waxed yesterday (Chat Icon --but anyway) I have some stubble. Is this normal? It was my first time if that means anything. It seems as if some of the hair simply broke off at the skin instead of being pulled by the root. I read that if you are stressed and tense up that this could affect it. Anyone care to share?Chat Icon

This happened to me too the first time I went. I went through all the pain just to have to shave 2 days later. I never went back!

I've been waxed 3 times and same thing happened each time. Never waxed again. Seriously wasn't worth it.

I wax my underarms and there are very few hairs that they can't get. They end up using a tweezer. The more you do it the less coarse your hair will be and it's easier to come out.

High 5. you're going to LOVE the underarm wax. it lasts about a month

I had that happen if the hair isn't long enough. I don't think it catches as well if they are short.

You may want to try a different place to get waxed. You shouldn't have stubble after two days. I go to Sandalwood Day Spa in Massapequa and they do a GREAT job. They use the wax to remove most of the hair and then they take the tweezers to get those stubborn hairs. If you do get a chance to go to Sandalwood - ask for Lillian - she is awesome and VERY professional.
