How can I organize this trip better??

We are going to Disney in October for DS's 1st birthday/our 5th anniversary.

My ILs have a timeshare in Orlando.

We want to spend a night away for our anniversary (were considering The Breakers in PB but also can do Orlando area)

We also want to see my grandmother for a day or night in Boca.

I don't know how to go about organizing the trip so we're not all over the place.

Should we fly to PBI (Boca) first? Then drive up to Orlando? It's a 3 hour drive or so, right? I honestly don't want to spend the night at my grandmother's b/c we're renting a PNP from the hotel so it'll be a PITA to get these to her house, but I would feel guilty not going down to see her.

Boys will be 1 and 2.5yrs old. Not sure how they'll do in the car for 3 hours each way. But I also don't want to fly out of NY first thing in the a.m. b/c it'll be so hard to get out of the house.

Any suggestions? Does this even make sense??

Could you fly into Boca and spend the day there - drive that night to Orlando and fly home from Orlando.
That way you don't have to drive 3 hours both ways.
