Anyone use RS of NY for IVF?
Looks like IVF is the next step for us. Just wanted to know if anyone uses RS of NY for their IVF treatments. Can someone please share their journey as I have no idea what I am facing. I see people taking BCP and stuff is that necessary if I got my period on my own? I could use any info you ladies would share. thanks and good luck to all!

Re: Anyone use RS of NY for IVF?
My DD is from my IVF cycle at RSOFNY ( Stony Brook) <--------------------------------
My DS was from an IUI there <-------------------------------------
And I just posted that I am pregnant with # 3 from a frozen embryo transfer with them
I am a 3x RSOFNY success story !!
I don't normally get AF on my own so I'm not sure what they do as far as BCP, but I think because they need to control the cycle regardless by supressing your ovaries they would need to put you on something to do that ..Good Luck

I did IVF and FET with RSof NY and birth control was part of the IVF protocol. I do get AF on my own. I believe it was to have more control over when everything happened.

Re: Anyone use RS of NY for IVF?
I went to RS of NY the Stony Brook office for 5iui's and 1 ivf cycle. The nurses there are amazing I can’t say enough about them. With the IVF cycle the nurses went with you step by step. They showed you how to inject yourself and were always on call if you needed them. My only problem I had with the practice is that every time I went in I saw a different doctor. I felt that the doctors where just to do their job and really didn’t care what happened.
I am now with Dr. Braverman in Woodbury and loving it. He did a bunch of auto-immune testing on me and he discovered that I have nk cells and blood clotting issues. I was able to get pregnant on his first try with a IUI and I was able to carry to 8 weeks for the first time. Unfortunately I m/c due the baby was unhealthy. He is awesome; he emailed me a few times after I m/c just to check up on me. He even went to bat for me when I was having issues with my regular obgyn. What Dr does that??? I love that man.!!! Dr. B really cares about each one of his patients and really tries his hardest to make our dreams come true. I can email him and he answers you back within 10 minutes give or take. He was able to figure out the magic potion that works for me and I know that the next time that we try it will be the one!!!!
I guess that it all depends on what you prefer, I like being with only one doctor practice.
I forgot, I always got my period on my own.
Best of luck you and your dh.

Re: Anyone use RS of NY for IVF?
I went to RS of NY in Mineola. I went to do PGD/IVF, and had no fertility issues but genetic issues. I thought at first I wasn't going to be happy dealing with so many different doctors, but every doctor just reads a chart and goes from there, so it didn't matter to me. I ultimately spoke with Dr. Stelling a lot b/c of the PGD aspect and really liked Dr. Sung. The nursing staff is wonderful.
They have a welcome class that you take and a class on the injections. They are always on call if you need something, but I never had to call, so I can't answer to how quickly they respond to that. They always called when they said they were going to.
DD will be a year in 12 days, so I am a success story. I will go back for DC#2 when we are ready.
I do get my period on my own, had regular cycles. But they use BCP to give a general starting point and get your hormone levels down. I do believe that BCP are a regular part of everyone's cycle.

Re: Anyone use RS of NY for IVF?
Thank you so much ladies! I love the staff there (for the most part anyway) and I like most of the Drs. I do try to make my appts with one Dr all the time as much as possible but it doesnt always work out that well with the timing. There is really only one Dr so far that I do NOT like. Unfortunately she seems to be the one who is in the SB office the most :( I have heard so much wonderful stuff about Dr B I would love to try him out but he is just sooo far from me. I am on the east end and SB is a journey for me as it is. Plus I go to WI to follow the Dr I like if its possible.
