who has a tray ceiling?

i was debating making one in our master bedroom, but im not sure if ill like it

all i have to say its ubber expensive to get it done unless you have them already or having a new built. I asked my BIL and he said he would have to reconfigure the entire attic/roof support in order to have it and i was floored on even imagining the cost involved. The cheaper way to do it is take away height of the room and build down but not many homes have high ceilings to do that.

We have them, but only because we took down a load bearing wall. We LOVE the way it looks, it really opens up everything. Initially our architect drew up plans for tray ceilings in the MBR as well but we decided against it as we didn't want to lose attic space.

We have them in our master, they are a different kind than what you initially think. We still need to add crown molding, unfortunately our master will be our last project.
