Yay!
Ryan now can crawl forward!!!
He's been doing the backwards sliver for the past 2 weeks or so...
The way he does it, is priceless... so not the typical "crawl"... He like kicks of with his feet, kinda like hopping forward.... it so darn cute... I freakin love this kid!!!!
Also- DH and I were talking the other night, and find it kind of odd... that Ryan can not put himself in the sitting position, if he is laying down.... is this something that is usually mastered by now... or something that comes with later development?

Re: Yay!
WTG! Look out now because it all goes down hill from here! Once he gets comforable crawling and stronger, he will learn how to sit on his own.

Luke just started to pull himself up in the sitting position from laying down about a week ago.....he turned 10 months yesterday!!! He has been able to sit up on his own for quite a while now, if we initally put him in that position. Also for him, he learned how to pull himself up from the sitting to the standing position (grabbing onto the furniture) a few weeks ago. It's amazing how one day they "can't" do something and the next day they can!!!

Yay Ryan!
Now that he's crawling, getting himself to sitting won't be far behind. Jake was pushing himself to sitting before his "real" crawl, but technically he was military crawling before pushing himself to sitting.

Re: Yay!
Talia learned to pull herself into a sitting position from laying down just before she started crawling - but I believe in my mind they are connected in a way (they use similar muscles) so I am sure it is not far behind for RJ.

Going back and re-reading this thread --- the two did coincide very much with Emily as well. I would say she was pulling herself up into a sitting position a bout 2 weeks before she started crawling.
