Water Sono?
Hi ladies, quick question for ya. I'm starting my first IVF soon. I'm just wondering does everyone get a water sonogram? and if so when during your cycle do you have it done?

I followed a BCP protocol and had the test while I was on the pill (cycle before I started stimming). Good luck!

I did it with my first IVF cycle, since I did both of mine back to back they said I didnt need to do it again. I did it a few days into when I started the BCP. My Dr said they do it to inflate your uterus and check to make sure there are no cysts or polyps. It's was pretty easy and over fairly quickly. Good Luck!

I will be starting my first IVF cycle soon also, but my RE didn't mention anything about a water sono to me  Is this something standard?

Yeah, It wasn't mentioned to me either, but I see most girls on here have it done before they start IVF or while on bcps. I just e-mailed my dr, we'll see what he says.

yup i did it and good thing i did.. they were able to see some polyps i had down there that you could not detect with a regular sono, so we had them removed and started out with a "clean" uterus!
