$%^$@#!!!!

So I'm now ending week 2 of my "lifestyle change". I got on the scale and lost .5. What????????????

I'm not cheating at all - working out with a trainer, doing cardio, definitely more active, drinking tons of water. I haven't touched any sweets, no coffee.

What gives? I'm so frustrated Chat Icon

Re: $%^$@#!!!!

Lori- I know easier said than done, but don't let that number on the scale rule you!!!

You are building muscle which is heavier than fat- and also when you make a change like this your body tends to hold water at first...

Think of how good you feel!

I'll keep going basically b/c I'm stubborn Chat Icon

I know I can't let the scale rule my life but my clothes fit exactly the same, no change in how I look AT ALL. Its just annoying and frustrating.

I just want a Friendly's sundae now b/c I'm pizzed

Definitely keep going - when you start working out hard, your muscles tear so they can rebuild stronger - and they hold on to a lot of water and I believe lactic acid. So .5 is a good loss, keep with it and you will see more!!

how are you clothes fitting? (eta - sorry, saw your response after your initial post) how do you feel?

it takes 4-8 weeks to start building muscle - just because you're having a slow start doesn't mean you won't have big losses in the very near future!

Maybe you can ask your trainer for some tips

Also, where are you in your cycle? You really could have some bloat or water weight. Don't be too hard on yourself!
