could you ladies please help me understand something
I have been reading on here that most people who have had repeat MC have gone to an RE. Was that recommend to you by your OB or you went on your own.
I have had 3 MC now, 2 in the past 5 months. I told my OB that I wanted to go see a specialist (RE) and he said that I don't need to see an RE that I need to see a high risk OB.
I'm going to my OB in two weeks for a follow up after having to have a dnc. He said we would start running tests to see if everything is ok. He also told me not to be surprised if everything comes back normal. So if it does, what am I suppose to do, just keep TTC and have another MC. I'm 38 years old and don't have alot of time left to play around (if you know what I mean).
Anyone have any suggestions or even questions for me to ask my OB once I get there?
TIA

I have not had multpile mc's but I would suggest seeing an RE if you feel that your ob is not able to help you further. It can't hurt to get a 2nd opinion. He may be able to help figure out why you keep having mc's.

Go directly to a RE. DO NOT PASS GO.
There is no time to waste.
3mcs is not normal. there is something going on. A RE will get to the bottom of it. Frankly, I would go to a RE that specializes in immune issues.
Mostly, I'm sorry for your losses.

i completely 100000% agree. an RE will do a thorough repeat miscarriage panel on you which will include immune and thrombophilia testing, which i doubt most ob/gyns would run. you should have had this done after the second m/c, i am sooooo sorry you had to endure a third .
i highly recommend dr. braverman in woodbury. his specialty is immune issues and recurrent m/c so he is def one of the best people to see to find out whats going on and prevent another m/c. good luck!!!

ITA. I was also going to say check out Dr. Braverman...a lot of the girls here rave about him and I believe he specializes in recurrent miscarriages. I would make an appt with him ASAP. Sorry about your losses

Re: could you ladies please help me understand something
Thank you so much ladies. Yes I've heard a lot of great things about Dr Braverman, but I live on the east end of suffolk so he is quit far from me. I think I'm going to make an apt with Dr. San Roman at Reproductive Specialists of NY in Stony Brook. I've also heard a lot of great things about him as well and its a lot closer.
Thanks again
