?? about mortgae pmts/income

We are refinancing, and I'm nervous about the pmt we are going to have...

This poll might be totally inaccurate but I wasn't too sure how to do it...what is your mtg pmt (WITH taxes) and you combined income?

(again, there is a poll so you don't need to actually answer these personal questions)

We had a house to sell that was originally purchased in 1998 before the boom. Our mortgage payment as a percentage of our combined income is less than all of the combos.

Re: ?? about mortgae pmts/income

Our mortgage payment is less than your lowest amount without taxes and insurance and it is about the lowest amount with taxes and insurance, but our income is a lot more than your lowest amount. Our mortgage payment is about 13% of our combined income.

(But I have a lot of student loan debt from law school so that was a big factor in our home buying decision).

Our mortgage payment including taxes and insurance is 26% of our gross monthly income. STAR is going to kick in next month and then it will be a little less.

ETA: I think all your poll options are essentially the same - around 2% of annual or 26% of monthly income so I don't know if the poll results will help you much.

Re: ?? about mortgae pmts/income

mine is other- our mortgage with taxes is 1900 a month and combined we are now about 180k, I cut my hours. and eventually will cut them even more. We also bought our house 4 years ago too, so that makes a difference too.
