quick EASY appetizer??
I have a book club meeting on Thursday night and the host said she will provide wine and sweets and we can bring an appetizer. What it is something really quick and easy to make or something I can buy to bring over?? Thanks!

Taco dip . . .Sounds gross but so delicious!
1 block of cream cheese 1 can of hormel no bean chili 1 bag of montery jack cheese or jack/chedder mixture
Spread cc on bottom of a pyrex square 8x8 pan spread the can of chili on top of that spread cheese (I don't use all the cheese) on top of that. Put in microwave for 10 minutes SO DELICIOUS!
Or procuitto and parmessan wrapped asparagus - Blanch asparagus and just roll in strips of procuitto and parm cheese :) So delicious too!

Re: quick EASY appetizer??
Mozzarella balls, grape tomatoes, and basil on skewers...pour some balsamic on them just before serving.
My MIL makes a great bean salsa that she serves with tortilla chips...its easy and uses a bunch of different canned beans.
I doctor up the bruschetta from Costco when I am in a rush by adding a block of diced mozzarella to it and letting it sit overnight. I drain some of the liquid and add some more balsamic and fresh basil.

Olive dip! Just put a whole jar (about 15 oz) of drained spanish olives in the food processor with about 1/3 to 1/2 cup mayo and black pepper to taste. It's amazing with pita chips!

Bruscetta.
Plum tomatoes, garlic, red onion, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, basil, salt... throw it all into the food processor on chop and serve with those crunchy garlic bread slices (I get the ones from Costco) and its always a hit!
