furniture
Where did you buy your furniture?
Did anyone but from Pottery Barn? I love their stuff and want to know if it's worth the money!
Do you love your furniture and did it hold up?

i have gotten pieces from Bobs, JCPenney, Pottery Barn outlet, Target, Fortunoff & BRU... so far the only piece that I would like to replace is the couch from Fortunoff- it has gotten way too soft...

rooms unlimited but highly do not recommend them... look up businesses on better buisiness bureau before you buy from any place... our bedroom furniture was ordered from highpointfurnituresales.com ... they are in NC... we saved ourselves over 1k and had exceptional service!!!

ETA - I have a hutch/desk and my bedroom set from PB. The quality is great- just as good as other pieces in my house. The only thing I am not happy with is a a rattan night stand bc the wicker is chipping off. Everything else is great and I would buy again.

we have stuff from all over as well-- Mainly PB, but Ballard, Crate & Barrel, Gothic Cabinet, Ikea, etc.
My PB couch needs some TLC, but when we move we are going to get replacement cushions. IN an apt, it's like the only place we sit-- so, those definitely need to be replaced-- which they sell, although they are not cheap.
I just ordered 2 small sofas from Raymour & Flanagin for my new LR- they were a nice match to the room I am trying to recreate and they looked nice in person, and the price could not be beat.
I think the best bet is to get pieces from all over-- some more expensive, others less. Some of the cheaper items look ok when paired with things that cost more, etc.

coffee and end tables - Peter Andrews or LL Bean
DR set - most likely Pottery Barn
eta: we've had our furniture less than a year so I can't say anything as to how it's holding up - too new.

We recently purchased the Rhys (my son's name too...just a coincidence!) living room collection from Pottery Barn. We already had the console table and added the media console, coffee table and one side table. I'm very happy with them and although they are expensive I envision us having them forever. I signed up for the Pottery Barn card and got enough points to get my bedding for free too. Not a bad deal!
