I feel like you can't go wrong with a Samsung. That's all we'll buy now (except for our kitchen and office TV - we wanted a white one for the kitchen and just a cheapie for the office).
We get all our TVs from PC Richards...

We have 3 Sony Bravias and are happy with them. Wait, is that LCD or the other one??
ETS: Got the 1st one in 2008 from the Sony outlet at Tanger (it was like $1300 for a 40" which was great at the time).
Other two from PC Richards.

we have a 52 inch phillips thats fabulous- we also have a 30 inch vizio in our bedroom
we are very happy with both and have had them almost 2 years.
Just a tip- if you have an Amex card use that to purchase it- they double the warranty on electronic purchases.

I just got the Samsung 7000 series LED/LCD and it's AMAZING. It's 3D ready too when the time comes. We got the 46 inch.
I bought it online at HD Hut but I would recommend going to Best Buy. Long story behind why we got it from HD Hut and it was completely unnecessary!

We have the whole collection of LCDs!
We have a Sony Bravia for the bedroom which is awesome, a little slower than our Samsung though.
Our Samsung is an LED, its unbelievable, ive never loved a TV so much.
Then we also have a Sharp Aquos, which is kinda on the fritz (not sure if its the box or the TV but either way its making me nuts) and then we have a little Sharp for the kitchen.
I'd rec the Samsung LED, and if not, get the Sony Bravia

we have three, Sharp, Vizio, and Sony Bravio. I would say by far the Sony is the best one out of all three, the picture is outstanding. It also has an internet connection, and we can stream movies from netflix right through the TV.
