We are officially in!
What a great feeling to be living in our own home and not sharing walls, floors or ceilings with anyone.
Some advice and things I learned.
Plan your pregnancies FAR away from your move. Moving when PG sucks. I mean REALLY sucks. If you think you can do all you need to do, think again. You can't.
ORGANIZE! ORGANIZE! ORGANIZE!!! We are not organized. I can't find my shoes and DH cannot find his pants.
DEFINITELY paint and carpet before you move. We did and with the amout of stuff we have all over the place, the reverse would have been a nightmare.
I'll post pics when we are cleaned up. Should be in a year or two.

Congratulations!!! We just bought our first house as well, and are in the process of painting, cleaning, Etc....
Totally agree with you about organization and doing all the home renovation before moving in. I give you props for moving while Pregnant. THat had of been hard. I'm having a hard enough time doing it around DS schedule and work.

Our closing date is the same as my scheduled c-section date for the twins.  Any advice?
How did the paint colors come out?

How did the paint colors come out?
It looks great. They werent able to finish two parts of the house but that's being done today. We took some dark and narrow spots and brightened/widened them with brighter colors. I would rather accent with color than overwhelm a small area with darkness KWIM? We have a long road ahead of us in terms of aesthetics. Now we have to deal with the newly discovered leak in the basement. JOY!

Congrats! What a great feeling to be in our own Home.
Take one project at a time. I love making lists and they really do help out. To get organized, take one room at a time. Everything else will happen over time. Lots of luck to you and many years of wonderful memories for you and your family.

DH and I signed contracts on a house yesterday and if everything goes smoothly (which I am not counting on) will be closed & moving when I am about 30 weeks pregnant
