* I cannot run in this heat ... also, for those of you who live in Nassau County!
So to try and beat it ... I just went. It's almost freaking midnight and I just walked in from a run. I cannot bear this weather ... I really picked the wrong season for this.
By the way ... I am not an official C25k person but I just started running at the end of June ... it has been 5 weeks. I am running 4 minutes now and walking 1 minute for 30 minutes. When I started, I literally could not run for one minute. I joined a beginners running club at eisenhower park and its been amazing! Just wanted to mention in case anyone is having a hard time getting started. Our "coach" is great as well as laid back ... not a drill sergeant. Her approach is working.

it's so oppressive!
but I think getting out in the morning is better. but you have to get out before 6.
my treadmill has been broken for 1.5 years and I wish I had it fixed!!

I run around 6:45 am here in MD and it is quite humid. But for some reason, my lungs prefer hot and humid rather than cold air. It sucks, but I agree that the morning is a better time to run when it is so hot out.

I got out at 5:50 this morning and it was already a little warm.
This heat is putting a big damper on my training for the Diva Half

I hear ya. I was running early in the morning but by 6 it was already hot!! I am now going around 8:30/9 at night.

I agree I hate this heat. I went out for a 10 mile run Saturday morning but I started at 7:30 am at the massapequa preserves which is pretty shaded and by mile 8 I wanted to die! I have been doing my runs at night and it's still brutal.
