Anyone else's DH NOT read the directions when administering meds?
This is our second IVF cycle and apparently DH thinks he remembers everything and refuses to look at online videos and read directions.
I say, 'ok, if you remember then fine. I certainly don't remember which needles go with which..."
Then last night as I take everything out of the bag, he says "are you sure we do ALL 3 in the stomach? I really think we should do them in the butt. I remember that."
Ummm. NO! The PIO goes in the butt, everything else is in the tummy. DH swears he's right and I swear I'm right. I anticipated this so before he got home, I secretly watched the training videos online to refresh myself so now I am 10000% sure I am right.
After about 30 minutes of arguing, and of course he still wouldn't look at the training videos because he's always right...  he finally says 'ok we'll do it your way.' Then afterwards, he says 'oh now I remember. You're right.'
AAAHHHHH!!! This stuff is important! Why not just spend 15 minutes and refresh yourself on the instructions?!
The first cycle, he was ALL about the instructions. He looked at each video multiple times. Oh well. At least we're on the same page now!

Maybe he was just looking for an excuse to see your butt!  
Men can be bull headed sometimes, glad everything worked out, it IS overwhelming !

Why oh why would I trust DH to do this? Never in a gazillion years. It's either me or the doc.
I am in charge of me..that's how I look at it.
Leave him out of it.

I went to let DH do my first shot in the tummy and out of nowhere I grabbed his wrist with heruclean strength and bellowed, "No!"
I never let him give me one shot and I think he was relieved that I decided to be a control freak about it and do all the shots myself.

I can do lupron and follistim myself but I can't bring myself to do menopur - it hurts too much and I just sit there with the needle in my hand for 20 minutes!
And I would never be able to do the PIO ones either.
