Couch to 5K - bad knees?
I know it's jogging and not running but I have knee issues... can I still do this?

I think you can if you get the right sneakers. Make sure you go get fitted properly at a running store.

Try it. Be sure to get the right kind of sneakers before you start ANY program. Don't go to D I C K's or Sports Authority. Go to a local running store. They will anaylyze your gait and running style and lead you to the right kind of show for YOU. I'm saying this because sometimes knee problems ARE from shoes. Take it easy and listen to your body.

I don't think it would hurt to check your knee out with a doctor and see what your ailment is. There are tons of bands and wraps to help runners with knee problems.

Oh, I do know what the issue is, it's nothing that I can "fix" without surgery but I don't really need it (cysts and loss of cartilage).

Check with your doc LB. My rheumatologist would not let me do it because of my arthritis in my knees.
