Scale Question
So I was weighed at my doctors office, and it said I was 10 lbs heavier than my at home scale said. I went home, put a five pound weight on my scale and it said 5 lbs, and I jumped on and it said 10 lbs lighter than Dr scale.
Then I went to another Dr, and their scale said the same thing as the original Drs scale...so confused! Why would my scale say that a 5lb weight was 5 lbs but then reduce my weight by 10? Or are all Dr scales wrong?

Re: Scale Question
What time of the day were you weighed? I routinely weigh at least 5 lbs. more at my doctor when I get weighed at night. I usually weigh myself in the morning before showering.
It could also be your scale - I have the WW digital scale.

I tend to see a 5 lb variance between the morning & night too. Also, were you wearing the same clothes? It seems silly, but the difference between my jeans & my light sweats is a whole pound!

I went directly home and weighed a 5lb weight to make sure my scale read correctly (which it did) and then jumped on and there was a 10lb difference between my scale and the Drs. I don't have a digital I have one of those with the needle. And if it was my scale why would it read a 5lb weight as 5lbs and not negative 5?

Re: Scale Question
scales will be different.....That's why you shouldn't weigh yourself at home and then go to a WW mtg and weigh in cause it will be different.
Just pick one scale that you want to go by and don't worry about it.....its a number that all. Its more about how you feel and clothes fit.

ITA!
My Dr told me not to go by their scale because it is not the most accurate. She said that scale at WW will be more accurate because they calibrate it more often.
Drs don't need to know your exact weight to make an accurate diagnosis of your general health. They just need to be in the ballpark. I always expect to see a higher weight at the Drs office.

Re: Scale Question
I always find doctor's scales weigh me at a higher weight than my scale at home and my gym scale.
