Re: ??? those who pump BM
I bought mine off the internet and had no problems. The prices were cheaper online than in BRU.

Also, renting a hospital grade one is a good option also. This way there is no committment to spend loads of money. If you want a phone number for someone in Massapequa, let me know and I can give it to you

If you don't want to buy online, you can wait for a 20% coupon from BBB. DH was nervous about it so that's what I did. I do think its perfectly safe to buy online as long as its new and sealed.

Re: ??? those who pump BM
I rent mine. It is a hospital grade pump -- the Medela Classic. My original thought was to rent for a month and if it works out, to go buy one. I was going to buy the PISA but I think it will work out to be about the same price as renting for about 3 months. By that time, I will be about ready to go back to work and won't really be able to pump there. With the pump I have, I am pumping more milk each day than DD can drink. So, I am building my freezer supply. I figure by the end of 3 months, I will have plenty on hand that I will be able to get through another couple of months with my abundance. I am just afraid that the PISA won't give me the production that the Classic is giving me. Who knows, I may still end up buying one...

Re: ??? those who pump BM
You just got me thinking... how long can you store frozen BM for?? If I could pull that off, I could still feed the baby BM after I return to work since I won't be able to pump.

Re: ??? those who pump BM
You can freeze milk for 3 month in a regular frig/freezer, freezer part. Or 6months + in a standalone freezer.
I might be able to help you figure out a way to pump at work. If you want the help just let me know.

Does anybody know what the time period is if the milk was first in a refrigerator/freezer and then moved to a stand-alone freezer? Would you go by the 3 months or the 6?
