FL, AZ, LV are very different from NY

I was just watching a short presentation from What we Realtors call our "Guru"
I try as a full time Realtor to keep informed daily on our changing market.
I will take a quote from his presentation and let our LIfamiliy try to digest it and understand it.
"Their is no such thing as "Good News" and Bad News' , it is just "The News.""
It all depends on where you are in relation to the news. Yes foreclosures are high, but interest rates are at historic lows. My father was getting interest rates of 4% after WWII.
I bought my 1st home at 11%.
I am refinancing my home for 3.75% WOW!!!
We can all wait on the side line and say this is not the time to buy because homes are coming down, or sell because my house is worth less and I do not want to lose money,
But if we look at the bigger picture, in 10 years all of us will say, we should have bought 2, or we should have upgraded look what we could have had.
Bottom line, this is not a sales pitch to buy or sell. It is just my thoughts;
If you want a home it is a great time to buy, if you want to upgrade to a larger home, it is also a great time to upgrade. If you want to sell a larger home and buy a smaller one, you may have lost some equity but you are buying the smaller home for less.
I am working every day with buyers who are buying and sellers who are selling. It is not only an investment it is a home to call your own and raise a family, and savor and cherish memories.
