nucal transcency test

Has everyone had or will have this test? Mydoctor said it isn't mandatory. I'm not sure if I should do it or not.

Honestly my doctor schedules all these tests for me not mentioning they aren't mandatory, so I did it. I think I would have anyway. I'm almost 35 so I'd rather have these non invasive tests vs. an amino.

It was an ultrasound and finger prick test. For me it was fine, had good results and got great pics.

I did it last night. The sono was amazing to see and the finger prick was really no big deal. I decided to do it just because I'm a planner and would like to know everything ahead of time. I think the biggest issue is the high rate of false positives with this test. My thinking is (God forbid) something comes up not so good, I'll go for further tests so I'm not "blind" to whatever it may be.
