what did YOU wear to your reunion?

Ours (i say "ours", but it's really DH's graduating year. I took classes a year ahead with all of these kids though, so I'm closer to them than my own graduating class) is at a catering hall on a friday night in August.

DH will likely wear a dress shirt with the neck open and dress pants, maybe a jacket.

I still have a gut, so anything empire waist or superflowy makes me look pregnant. And I'm more comfortable with sleeves.

I have a few dresses I can wear, just looking for opinions.

1) black Ann Taylor shift - chiffon, short, sheer sleeves, with rosettes at the chest. Loose fitting/forgiving.

2) dressier black Calvin klein mock 2 piece. top = black sheer "blouse" with patent leather belt, bottom = black pencil skirt. hits below knee, and fits closer to the body. Needs some alteration, last wore it 10wks postpartum.

3) sleeveless, crisp brushed cotton, navy Lands End v-neck flare waist dress. hits at the knee. This dress is a little big right now, I bought it right before I was PG with DS.

4) something new! Although funds are limited this month (wedding, 1st birthday, reunion), I don't love shopping, and nothing has really caught my eye recently.

I wore a brown with beige flowers v-neck sleeveless silk Laundry dress. It was a little long on me, so it was sort of tea-length.

Mine was in a hotel banquet room in October.

People wore all sorts of things. Something you'd wear to a wedding, something you'd wear to a shower or birthday party, to something you'd wear to a club.

I think I like option #3 from what you listed or maybe #1 since it doesn't need alterations.

#3 sounds best to me... can you pair it with a belt to fit it a little better?

#1 sounds too dressy, and since you said #2 is even dressier - I'd ixnay them both.

eta: I didn't go to my 10 yr but had I - I would have worn slacks and a top.

I overdressed for my reunion - which was at a bar

I wore a little black dress and some crazy heels. I'd probably go with #1 or 2. Most likey 1 b/c you didn't mention it needing alteration.

#2 sounds best IMO - belted w/ a pencil skirt will always look great -

#3 sounds comfortable while still looking good -

something new! so many people wore black to my reunion. I wore a purple/blue dress. There is an album on facebook "Class of 1999 - 10 year reunion" if you want to see what everyone wore to mine. It was at the Stonebridge cc.

Ray's reunion was at Nappertandys so I wore jeans and a black shirt to his.
