Alright be honest, how did you do this holiday weekend?

I did ok but not as good as I could have done. For me though it was mostly drinking. I hosted a BBQ/pool party yesterday so I kept myself moving and all the food was prepared as healthy as it could be. I made hamburgers with 93% lean meat, used ww cheese on mine and used fiber one rolls. For the hot dogs I made sure I had a lite hot dog and fiber one rolls. My dip was made with lowfat sour cream and I made a sugar free/fat free chocolate cream pie for dessert (which I did not like).

I swam in the pool and tried to stay as far away from the food as possible. But for me the worse thing was definitely the drinks. Although I made vodka/lemonade and used Crystal Light for the lemonade, I had a good amount of it and then I also drank a number of Smirnoff Ice drinks. But I tracked everything and I know that last year I would have eaten and drank so much more then I did this year.

So how about everyone else? Did you have a hard time with it? Did you just say screw it, it's a holiday?

I fit into smaller shorts the day of my cousin's party so there was no way I was letting go.

I overdid my points for the day but I still haven't used all of my extra points or activity points.

I could have done better too but I'm cutting myself some slack. I was very active the whole weekend.

We did not go to any parties so we were able to "control" the food part.

We did turkey burgers though.

and i enjoyed it!-every cupcake, hotdog, slider, and ice cream! totally worth it. BUT that said,,i am eager to get back on track tomorrow and promise i will. i actually went to weigh in today @ WW and did not gain or lose a pound which is ok by me! i thought i would have gained at least 5 lbs!
eta that i ran 9 miles on sat. 3 on sunday and did pilates today so that probably helped my reallly bad eating!

I did pretty well. Chat Icon I count calories and nutrients. We had our party on Saturday, I did go over my daily calorie allotment by 200 calories, but I also took a good walk and burned 450 calories. Nutrient wise I could have done better.

Sunday we did a parade and fireworks with family - I did really well all day until we went to Red Robin for dinner. I didn't check the website before we went and the grilled chicken sandwich I got ended up being insanely high in calories and salt, so Sunday I ended up going over my daily calories burn.

Monday I was totally back on track, for the weekend I was up 0.6.

All in all I am happy with the weekend, typically on a holiday weekend I would have gone nuts and felt like crap afterward. Those type od derailments used to also take me a long time to get back on track from, so I am happy that I could have a good time and not go crazy.Chat Icon

I didn't do so hot. Between the holiday and having family with us-I had one excuse after another-none of it rationalizes it.

However, I am back on the wagon today, full on!

I did well everyday except Sunday. I did skip dessert and stuck to grilled chicken but I way overindulged in the proscuitto/mozz and the chips and was kicking myself the next day Chat Icon
