Question about ordering furniture

I know that alot of places have 2 or 3 day delivery. Do you think it's possible to place your order but request the delivery be delayed 1 or 2 weeks? I realize this is something that may be store specific but we would like to take advantage of sales but won't be moving in for several weeks. TIA
