Fencing HELP!

I need to get a fence around our property... for many reasons...

We have 2 dogs and we have 3 young nosey neighbor's kids who have already walked into our home on multiple occasions during our remodel....

We are looking to get a 6ft stockade fence along the sides and something a little prettier on the front/side part of the yard, maybe with an arbor.

We are looking to do wood...

Any recommendations or pricing ideas? Anyone DIY?

we have 7ft stockade fencing around the entire back yard with gates on both sides of the house....

wood needs to be replaced wayy more often then the new PVC stuff which i like much more but is also much more expensive...

we have always picked up the stockade fencing from Home Depot... they normally have sales on them...

I think we paid around $3500 for our PVC fence. We used Amendola. Two gates - we have 60 x 100 property. Oh and our neighbor already had a fence up so we didn't need one side.

The arbor was $500.

Like I said - we went with PVC, don't know how much wood is. I gave you the price just so you could ballpark something.

We have 1/2 acre. We paid about $3000(a few years ago) for the fence around the whole yard with Steel posts cemented into the ground(they never rot) We just added PVC to the front(what you can see from the street) It was 63 feet with one 5ft gate. It was $1650
