Window Scarfs - Keep falling

I am sure I am missing something. I bought blinds for my living room windows (I like cleaner lines than lots of fabric with long curtains). I thought the windows looked a little plain with only the blinds so I bought some window scarfs. I CANNOT for the life of me get them to stay on the rod because they are sheer type. Is there some trick that I am missing, or can someone give me some ideas on how to hang them other than a rod, I have seen some window sconces but they are too ornate for the look i am going for, or really expensive. Can I use regular curtain holdbacks and just install them like hooks? I couldn't really find any pics on google to get inspiration.

you can use a rubber band or a zip tie and then wrap the scarf around it to hide it.

Thanks Susi...I think I have decided that I wasn't actually very attached (hee hee) the rods I was using so I am going to use some regular holdbacks at an angle at the top of the window and I think that should work and if need be I will use some tape.
