Approximately how much does a conrete patio cost?
We have a concrete patio and want to extend it. I'm just trying to get an idea of how much it costs?
Eventually,we are going to put pavers over the whole thing, but for now we just want to extend it out a few feet all around.

hmmm... how long is eventually? because ripping up the concrete might be as expensive as putting it down...
my suggestion, either start the paver project sooner (if possible) , or just live with the existing patio until your ready to change it... no sense in doing twice the work, or paying for it twice...

i know we added a section to the side of our driveway... it was about 25 ft X 18 Inches.... about 38 square feet... and was about $500.....
not sure if that helps..

The reason we are thinking of extending is because we want a bigger patio and were told you could put pavers over concrete. Figured we would either have to extend the concrete eventually to make sure the pavers are level (or rip up existing concrete to make it level).
This way, we kind of break up the cost (i.e. do concrete extension this year, and paver overlay in a couple years).

supposedly it is better to put pavers over crushed concrete - and it is much cheaper than concrete - so i would wait
if you want real stone - such as blue stone or others that is better over concrete

Ahhhh-very good to know!
This is true! If you put pavers over concrete you will get this white residue on the pavers. It's a chemical reaction that the pavers and cement have with each other and there is nothing that can be done about it. We had crushed concrete, then sand, then the pavers. It's solid. I would just wait. Maybe you can extend it with another product for now. Like stepping stones or something like this:
I'm drawing a blank on what these are called right now.
