Inspiration - positive or negative? both?
Although seeing the number on the scale go down is thrilling (4 pounds this week WOOP), I still find that I need a certain amount of negative inspiration to keep me on track.
DH took a video of me doing some physical activity last weekend and I was disgusted. I took screenshots of myself from the back and saved them to my computer. Whenever I'm considering 'cheating' or doing something totally bad diet-wise, I think of those pictures.
I'm considering doing a Biggest Loser type photograph thing. Stripping down to my undies and having DH take pictures of me from the front, side and back. Am I crazy? Does anyone else use the things that they don't like to keep them on track?

That's what works for me... I look at pics of me from when I was younger and thinner, and then pics of me now... It usually gets me right out of that "cheat" mode. Whatever works for you, that's what matters!!

When I lost 40 lbs before my wedding, DH took pics of me in my underwear and I kept a little picture tucked in my wallet. In fact, now that you reminded me, I am starting my new diet on Monday and I am going to do the same thing then!

Re: Inspiration - positive or negative? both?
I bought this bikini and wore it a few times under my work out clothes. It started out as negative inspiration, since I don't look like that. But eventually, I wasn't quite so horrified at how it looked and felt on me.
And I DID actually wear it out in public.
