Thawing Question For Those Who Did a FET

I have 4 frozen embies:) I was told they are in vials of two (so two in each vile). We are putting back ONE, so naturally they will thaw one vial of two, and put back one and hopefully refreeze the other IF they both were to survive the process.

However, if neither survive the thaw in the one vial, how quickly can they thaw the next vial of two to be ready for my transfer? I am confused!! I don't want them to say, we thawed one vial and the two in it didn't make it and its too late to thaw the next vial. Or, do they thaw both vials at same time (and then refreeze? I am confused!

Thanks

I haven't done it yet , but I "think" it depends on how old the embies are when they were frozen...

I have 5 & 6 day old blasts and they told me it takes 90 minutes to thaw..I asked the same Q and they said if the one we want to use desn't survive, they will just thaw the next...

Not sure about 3 day old embies etc...

I am pretty sure the can do it immediately. I think they do it with enough time to thaw another batch.

With my first FET they thawed 2 and both were fine.

With this one they thawed 3 and only one survived.

They can "deforst" the others immediately. The last FET I had, we were going to transfer two, and I had three frozen. They defrosted two, one did not make it, so they defrosted the last one. That was done about 25 minutes after the first two were defrosted. I had my transfer on time.
