Back in the Game - NSLIJ question...
After a break from TTC we are back in the game. Due to insurance requriements, I have to be seen at NSLIJ, so I'd appreciate recommendations to which RE to see there. We have to do IVF, is it true that some Drs there don't handle that procedure?
Thanks ladies!!

Re: Back in the Game - NSLIJ question...
I think that I have now seen all the docs at that Center, and I think that Dr. Hershlag might be my favorite. He is so friendly & reassuring... he is also the only doc to ever warm up the speculum!
I think that only one person there does not do IVF, maybe Dr. Rosenfeld??
FM me if you have any questions!

Re: Back in the Game - NSLIJ question...
I was at NS for over a year - they are great. Unfortunately, I had no luck and I'm now with Dr Braverman.
Here's the deal at NS. Dr Rosenfeld doesn't do IVF just IUI.
The IVF team is Hershlag, Scholl, Cohen and Chu. You'll be given one "primary" Dr who you'll do your "sit down" meetings with. When it comes down to sonos/blood tests/retrieval/transfers - its whatever Dr is on call (as it is with alot of practices). It was totally fine with me because all the Doc's are great. I'd recommend getting Hershlag or Scholl as your primary (but that's just my opinion). BEST OF LUCK!!!! The nurses are Great!!! Oh and feel free to FM me if you have any questions!

I've heard nothing but good things about Braverman - I wish I could use him.
Do you know their hours for monitoring?

Re: Back in the Game - NSLIJ question...
I saw Dr. Cohen and I was very happy with him. He was the only doctor that I saw while I was there. He actually saw me at his other office when his hours at NSUH didn't work with my schedule.
They open at 7am. I used to go in for blood at 7am and then go after work for my appointment, but you can get 7am appointments.

Re: Back in the Game - NSLIJ question...
I liked Hershlag and Chu the best. Cohen and Scholl were fine, I didn't meet with them that often. My primary was Chu and I thought that she spent a lot of time with us and gave us very detailed explanations to all of our questions. I also liked that she was very confident that we would have no problems getting pregnant.

So far, so good with Dr B. We shall see!
NS starts taking appts at 7a for bw and sono. I sometimes did have to wait for sono but nothing longer than 15 mins past my appt time. BW you're in and out...
