Ugh Ugh Ugh
I'm so disgusted with myself. I was INCREDIBLY lucky to lose 22 lbs while pregnant and then after giving birth/bfing I lost a total of 40. Sure enough I've gained 15lbs back-and dd is only 6 months old.
Granted I haven't been this "skinny" since 2007, I just am not happy where I'm at. Yes its my eating and my exercise schedule (the one that doesn't exist) but I'm just so blah. I'm happy I fit into some clothes that I never thought I'd fit into but on the other end, I still feel huge.
I need results sooner than later but I'm realistic and know it takes work. WW is an option but I don't know what else t do. I'm not joining a gym bc I'll never go. I'm so tired at the end of my day that I can't even stay awake. When dd goes to sleep so do I.
Any suggestions. I'll even take words of encouragement. I just can't be like this anymore.

give yourself a break. You have a baby! I'm sure that limits you time to work out and eat well!

Re: Ugh Ugh Ugh
I would suggest WW online as an option for a couple of reasons - 1. It's all online so you don't have to commit extra time for meetings; 2. It helps regulate your eating habits because of the points system, so you wind up eating more fruits and veggies and stuff that's "better" for you. This will probably help give you more energy; and 3. At least for me, I always feel better if I know I'm "doing something" - even if it's just entering what I ate into the online tracker.
I know how you feel - I'm only a few lbs from my PP weight and fit into everything I wore PP, but I still feel gross. WW is helping me.

I've heard that lack of sleep and stress can prevent weight loss...so take a nap

Re: Ugh Ugh Ugh
I would join WW and then just fit in a walk with your baby whenever your can.
I lost 30 lbs on WW with minimal exercise.
Weight loss is about what you eat and the exercise just helps the battle but food is 90% of it and you can lose the weight you want with a change in eating and a walk in the neighborhood 2-3 times a week.

Re: Ugh Ugh Ugh
why not try a food journal, a basic little notebook so you can just start keeping track of your food. aim for 5 meals a day between 250-300 calories. food has a big impact on our weight and body. little changes might make a big difference.
also, what about home workout programs? i like beachbody products... they have things like turbo jam and p90x that you might enjoy and the workouts can sustain you for at least a couple of months.
don't put too much pressure on yourself. take time to relax and celebrate whatever you can fit in. you're doing terrific!

Re: Ugh Ugh Ugh
Don't get down on yourself April! You are still down a lot of weight!! I suggest at the minimum, writing down everything you eat. It really opens your eyes as to how much and what you are putting into your mouth. I've joined WW online and use their Points Tracker online and on my BB when I'm away from the computer. It is really easy to use and soooo helpful to keep my on track.
Just getting yourself moving a little, will make a HUGE difference! Why not take the baby girl out for a walk after work tonight. The weather is gorgeous and the humidity is down, so it will be perfect! Try to take her on a walk as many days as possible. Other than that, I suggest the Couch to 5K program. I have a few sites with different podcasts to help you do the program and will send you the links if you want them.
I know it isn't easy getting started, trust me, I know. But, if you DO start, even making small changes, they truly add up. You will be so much happier if you do!! Let me know if you need anything!!

Re: Ugh Ugh Ugh
Don't beat yourself up!
It took me over a year to get up the motivation to lose the baby weight after DS was born.
I too am not a "gym" person and never work-out at home. I basically wasted money on a treadmill that is now sitting in pieces in my basement.
Believe it or not, on a whim, my ILs invited me to a hot yoga class. I HATED it the first few times I went.
But now, I go at least 2-3x per week and this has become my time away from all the craziness that is in my life between work and family. It's taken time but I am beginning to notice a lot of changes in my body for the better. This is the first major exercise activity I have ever actually looked forward to in my life, as well.
I am not saying this would work for you, but just putting it out there as a suggestion.

Re: Ugh Ugh Ugh
I hate exercise. I had no time for a gym and no place to put a treadmill. So, I started doing workout DVDs in my living room after the kids are in bed.
Since I don't have a lot of time, I chose short ones-30 day shred and Cardio Max. I love them. they are about 25 minutes total, and are over before you know it.
These DVDs combined with WW have helped me lose over 30 pounds.
If you have no time for a 30 minute DVD I would do WW. Food tracking is more important than exercising, especially in the beginning and that is where you will see your biggest bang for your buck.
Good luck

Re: Ugh Ugh Ugh
I second WW. I gained 100 lbs from 2006 with 2 babies back-to-back.
I shed the first 50 on my own pretty easily.
I have been stuck on the last 50 for a while. I have been on WW for 5 weeks and lost 7 lbs. While its not a ton, its enough for me to keep being motivated!
