? for a friend- Genetic Counselor

Hi girls.

A friend of my is getting married and is interested in speaking to a genetic counselor because their are some issues on her fiance's side that they are concerned about and want to get info on before ttc.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Would she need to see an RE first to get it covered by insurance?

Any information would be awesome.

Her gyno can send her for genetic counseling. Stony Brook Hospital has a good genetic center, they do b/w and counsel. I don't have the number anymore, but I'm sure its online somewhere. Some insurance will cover and some wont. So, she should call her insurance co 1st.
