So mad at myself and I had to share

I feel like lately I've been struggling and slowly slipping into some bad habits again. With losing 55 pounds I know I have a lot to be proud of. But I know I also have another 35-40 to go. I've been doing really well with my work outs. And for the most part my meals have been ok. But I notice myself snacking on things more. Part of it is we've had about 5 parties at our house in the last 2 weeks and there's always bad food left over. I know the solution is to throw it out. But I just haven't been doing it. I really wanted to hit 60 pounds by July 4 and there is no way I am going to do that. I get weighed in on Tuesday and I would not be surprised if I am up this week.

I just had to share this because telling all of you makes me feel better and I feel like I can move on now. I know what I have to do. I just haven't felt like doing it for a few weeks now. The only thing that has kept me from gaining is the work outs and I will keep up with those. I just need to find a good balance again.

Thanks for letting me share.

You are doing great, 55 pounds is something to be so proud of! It's totally normal to get out of the routine every once in a while. We had a lot of people over yesterday and we made people take stuff, and we threw out some stuff too. Life happens and it throws us off, but you just have to get back on track. And it sounds like you're doing just that. Chat Icon

I agree, you should be really proud of yourself for what you have already accomplished. Now is the time to get back on track if you want to!

We just had a party here this weekend and I've been picking on cookies all weekend. Thank god they are gone. Now if only I could bring myself to throw out the browniese Chat Icon Chat Icon

We have achieved a lot.

You are aware of what you are doing with the snacks. Try to snack on cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.... 16 pretzel nuggets is only 2 pts.

Thank you ladies for the support and advice. I did much better today at work with the snacks and I stopped at the grocery store on the way home to pick up some fruit. I just need to focus again and look back at stuff I was doing when I first joined.

I can only imagine how hard it is to keep the same excitement for WW after you've had as signifcant loss as you've had. I love reading success stories of people who have lost at least 50 lbs since I have such a long way to go. Keep up the good work!! You are an inspiration to many of us, esp me! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm not a regular on this board - but I'm just wondering how long it's taken you to lose the 55lbs? I'm starting WW again on Wednesday morning with a friend. I'm hoping this time I'll be good and get to goal! This is my 3rd time joining the last 10 years and everytime I stop going - I gain everything, plus some more back!

It took me about 7-8 months to lose the 55. Good luck with joining again and remember we are all here for support!
